Tello Returns to Its Roots With an Office in Americus, GA
Sometimes, moving forward means going back to where it all started. In August 2026, Tello opened a new office in Americus, Georgia, the very place where our company’s story began more than two decades ago.
Today, the new office is home to a team of 14 Customer Support representatives and a Branch Supervisor, bringing Tello back to its roots while starting a new chapter for the company.
Where our story began
In June 2002, in the small town of Americus, Georgia, our company started with a simple idea: helping people in the U.S. stay connected with their loved ones back home. The first website was SunaRomania.com, which offered phone card PINs for calls to Romania, and whose success marked the beginning of what would become KeepCalling.
The following year, KeepCalling.com went live, welcoming its first customers. From there, the company continued to grow, expanding its services, teams and offices across the world, in Romania, Bolivia, the U.S., and India.
In 2016, Tello was launched as a new wireless service in the U.S. Over the years, it grew into the company’s most successful brand, and in 2025, KeepCalling’s operations transitioned to the Tello name.
Now, 24 years later, we’re back in Americus.
A new team in an old home
The new Americus office brings together a local team dedicated to supporting Tello customers and contributing to the company’s U.S. operations. For Tello, this isn’t simply another office location. It’s a meaningful connection between the company’s past and its future.
The office is located in the historic Rylander Ford building in downtown Americus, a landmark originally built in 1916 and now restored into a modern workspace.
And there’s another special connection to the company’s beginnings: the building is shared with Habitat for Humanity, the organization that Tello President Florin Miron was working for when he founded the company behind Tello.
A full-circle moment
From a small website created in Americus to a nationwide wireless service, Tello’s journey has taken us a long way. But some places remain part of the story. Opening an office in Americus brings that story full circle, connecting the people and place that helped shape our beginnings with the team building Tello’s future today.
Welcome to the team, Americus! It’s good to be back.
